Sorry for the lack of updates this month as I was busy working at TNA (The Nail Artelier) during my school break! I update my Instagram regularly with lots of nail designs so do follow me at @mentalforpolish or visit my hashtag #mentalforpolish for your nail art fix!
From June 2014 onwards, I will not be updating my availability slots like before. As I am having a full-time job currently, nail services at my own place will be on weekends only from 10am to 5pm. Desiree did a different version of Sakura Bling as she chose a different colour glitter as base!
I really love NfuOh glitters, they shine really brightly even after coated with a thick coat of gel! 😀
Pearlyn gave me a great challenge for her CNY nails! She wanted to do acrylic bears (ya know, acrylic art isn’t my forte because I’ve got no time to practice much D:)
I’m so glad the bears turn out fine in the end and my customer loved it!!! 😀

Anyway, Angelia showed me a pic that she gotten from @thenailartelier and here’s my take! We did a few minor tweaks here and there to match Angelia’s preference 😀
I love how the entire set is made of only a few colours so that it is not too confusing on the eyes! My personal favourite is the little nekos/fortune kitties on her thumbs! Matchy matchy black and white with a pop of red!

Anyway, Qiao Ting did a very colourful and funky nail art for CNY! 😀 she showed me this pic of a Japanese nail art and wanted to do the same, so here’s my take! I think I drew quite a number of triangular shapes that day and we used so many colours!
This design is taken straight out from a magazine with some modifications! Did this design for my bf’s mum in this festive season! Used disco balls for the fourth finger and handpainted all the snowflakes in this set!
Hello ladies! I will need nail models for my upcoming ONS nail exam in May! Interested applicants will need to send me a picture of their bare nails to 9168 8232 or shona@mentalforpolish.com. Do note that you will have to cut your nails short with no free edge (white part of your nails) as I will be practicing extensions. Do not worry as I will be removing said extensions after the end of the practice session.
Incentive: FREE gel manicure (worth $30 – $40) to those who are able to commit 3-4 hours of their time for my practice sessions. This can be claimed on another day based on my availability. Able to choose from my Nfu Oh, Orly FX range 🙂

Angelia’s Christmas nails this festive season! She wanted a Santa design which is adapted from Amelie’s Nails and I suggested having elves too! Elves design is from Simply Rins!
All of them are handpainted, yes including the snowflakes!!!
Here’s the colours used for each nail:
Santa: Gelle 140, Harmony Gelish Good Gossip, Artistic Colour Gloss Hotzy, Angel Pro #29 and #47
Elves: Gelle 140, Gelle 191, Angel Pro 21, Nfu Oh Sunny Star 5, Angel Pro #29 and #47

Awww, look at those elves! I drew one chubbier than the other and I prefer that little guy 😛 Angelia wanted glitter on all her nails so I added green glitters to the elves’ hat and red ones to the Santa!
