I used Orly Gel FX Shine, Angel Pro Gelly #3, #9, #10, #21, #29, #47 and Nfu Oh European Life 7! The colour from Nfu Oh is so gorgeous!!!! It’s that pretty purple!!!

Angelia wanted to try acrylic art this time and wanted 2 bows on her middle finger! So sweet!

NA3 Homework: Sweet Desserts

Phew I’ve finally finished my homework for my upcoming diploma exam this Sunday!!! I really hope I can do well and get a diploma cert for my nail technology course ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway, this is the set I’ve come up with for my homework and the theme is Sweet Desserts! Seriously I love eating sweet things and it was quite challenging to come up with this set. I actually did 6 of the tips 2-3 months ago and then the remaining 4 tips this week! (I know, school was being such an ass sometimes!)

I used a bunch of colours for this but I’m not gonna mention them here because it’d take ages!!!

I love this set too, my favourite is the cupcake nail with the pocky sticks and also my gumdrop cone, haha!

Mini Nail Art Deco Course: Desserts & Ribbons

Went splurging by attending another acrylic art nail workshop by Odessey Nail Systems! I love these kind of workshops, instructors tend to give little tricks that wasn’t taught in textbooks! That day was my first lesson, a total of 4 lessons for this workshop!

Heh I finally bought a waterproof apron for home use!!!!! I feel like I don’t look that professional at home, since I’m always decked in my comfort wear but an apron makes me look fabulous!!!

The course kit is as follows:

2x ONS The One Color Acrylic Collections (Was supposed to get the Baby Shower collection but since I’ve already had it in January when I attended the Salon 3D Nail Art Training, they were so nice to replace it with another set of my choice!)

1x Pack of Deco Materials (nail lace stickers, nail foils, assortment of gems and charms, Nfu Oh shells, acrylic flowers and nail tips)

Here’s Teacher Erica’s work… so pretty; almost feel like they’re real!

Photobucket

And then here’s mine… Felt like I did improve in my acrylic art skills somehow, yay! Happy with how these look as they’re my first few attempts at something new! I actually love doing the ice cream ‘flavours’, the syrup and the toppings!!!! Hahahaha its like seeing food made infront of my eyes!

Photobucket

For the next part of the lesson was a tricky and difficult one… doing a 3D handmade ribbon! (or do you call this 4D?) Again… here’s Teacher Erica’s perfect samples!

Photobucket

Mine turned out looking like starfishes…. :O It’s ugly that I teared laughing at my work! Need more practice!!!! My product was too hard, hence inflexible and I couldn’t really stick it on to a nail tip… Need to get a perfect 1:1 ratio for monomer and acetone for this to work!

Photobucket

Ah, had fun for my first lesson!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Looking forward to the next!

Ribbons Galore!

Hui Ru requested for this design from tumblr and we made a few changes! As she broke one of her nails; we changed the design into a half-moon instead; which makes her nails look longer!

The colours used for the base was OPI Elephantastic Pink and OPI Alpine Snow! I also adorned the ribbons with a small crystal each; and it looks like a wrapped present! Hui Ru also wanted to try the lace stickers when she saw what I did with my own nails too! (will be up next!) I really like how her accent nail looks, so bridal!

Haha and Hui Ru immediately took a photo of her nails and sent it to her boyfriend and he lavishly complimented the execution of the design. ๐Ÿ˜€ Happy customers makes me happy too!

When Classic Meets Techno Nail Design

Hey guys!!! So I dug my old digital camera out and finally decided to put it to good use! My family abandoned that camera years ago because we got a DSLR. Because I’m such a noob, I’m still not familiar with the functions and this is the main reason why I’ve not used it for any of my nail swatches yet. The digital camera that I’ll be using from today onwards will be Panasonic DMC-FX10. It’s actually a really old model and it has only about 7 megapixels (I think). At least that is better than my current iPhone 4 that I’ve been using from the start to take pics of my nails. Amazing, isn’t it?

Anyway, let me know if this camera has an improvement to my swatches because if not, I will switch back to using my iPhone 4, lol. I like this digital camera much better because it can zoom in w/o making my pics blurry. But, it doesn’t really have that ‘bright’ factor that I always have in my swatches.

Okay…. back to nails. You should have noticed the weird title of this nail design and yes, I AM NOT THAT CREATIVE in naming all my nail designs ๐Ÿ˜› It gets harder and harder after every nail art post, trust me! I am inspired by ClaraH and here’s myย renditionย of it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m definitely going to redo this and this time without the accent glitter nails. Also, I think the leaves of my roses are so awkward!! I should have drawn a pair for a rose.

Photobucket

I am using Dior Blue Label as a base for my accent nails, topped with Barry M Blue Glitter. OMG… Barry M Blue Glitter is so densely packed, it is more of aย turquoiseย fine glitter in a clear base! I did a blue base underneath because I thought most glitter will be sparse and randomly spread out but this one is such a beautiful exception. LOVE! โค

The base colour on my other nails is Barry M Strawberry Ice-cream, I apologise for the colour difference because no matter how I photograph it, the colour doesn’t show up! :/ It is actually a bubblegum pink.

Roses are drawn with acrylic paint. Other colours used will be listed under the tags section.

Blue Daisies Nail Art Design

Hello guys! I have another flower-themed nail art design to show you today and it is inspired by another Youtube tutorial by Love4Nails! ๐Ÿ™‚ Her tutorials are always easy to do but yet remain complex and stunning! โค Another easy technique to do daisies instead of doing stroke by stroke of petals from my last daisies nail design!

Photobucket

I used China Glaze VIII as base and its actually a dark plum creme but it looks almost black indoors. I know the pictures doesn’t really show but I actually did put leaves and gold dots to finish up the design! I should have used brighter colours for those details haha

Photobucket

Can you see bedsheet marks on my thumb??? Hate it when that happens!!! :/

Anyway I’ll be having my mid-year exams in less than 2 weeks so I think I might go on hiatus for a little while ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure when I’ll start but you’ll know it when the time comes, lol! I have like 5 modules to study for D:
