Gel Mani: Ribbons

This design was posted by Ying for Lancome lookbook! Audrey loved the design and told me to recreate it using similar colours!

I used Angel Pro #13, #35 and Orly Gel FX Luxe! Initially wanted to place some studs on the ribbons’ center but however my studs isn’t suitable as it was too big so we switched it up with gold gel polish instead!

Gel Mani: Infinity Bows v.2

Geraldine wanted to do the same design that I did ages back for one of my clients, only in a different colour scheme!

 photo DSCN3341copy_zps37467cf1.jpg

I used Angel Pro #13, #23, #47 and Orly Gel FX Shine! As it was for her sister’s wedding, she wanted to bling it up a little! Love how well the crystals looked with the entire set 😉 I also love her broad nail bed! Stay tuned for her sister’s wedding nails in the next post!

P.S. I used a different cuticle oil this round – China Glaze which resulted in redness near the nails, so don’t fret!

Gel Mani: Coral Corset

Michelle’s pick for her design in October! (I know, long overdue keke)

Another corset design from Ying but in a different colour and done with gel instead of acrylic paint!

I used Angel Pro #29, #47 and Harmony Gelish Tiger Blossom! This kinda looks like a mix between a sneaker and corset design… Hmmm…

Gel Mani: Springtime Pastels

Lin opted for a spa gelish manicure before her work trip to Germany!(pssst… only additional $15 and you get to enjoy Ecrinal Durcisseur Vitamine, Aloe Vera Nail Mask, Cuccio scrub, Adina Vanilla & Rose mask!)

Photobucket

Lin knew what she wanted, she wanted polka dots, lace and florals; all in one! So there’s three designs in total, a double-half moon with polka dots and florals, a floral design, a half-moon with lace and florals! It may look like there’s too much going on but we kept to base colours to the minimum so that it doesn’t look that ‘chaotic’!

Love AngelPro gelly colours… they have the most amazing pastels! This entire manicure was used with their colours! Yes, including all the floral art! I used AngelPro 5 and AngelPro 13 for the bases and #10, #22, #47 and #29 for the rest of the art! This is actually my first time doing floral art in gel colours and I love the result!

The ending touch was using a silver striper to line all the half-moons!

Gel Mani: Cherries Accent with Crystals

Hello all! Hehe just want to update you guys on my new gelish manicure for this week! My cuticles look so much better now because I gave my nails a break during the weekend and constantly showering them with cuticle oil and hand cream!

I did them on Sunday night and it still looks the same as today! Haha my nails grow really slowly so there’s no sight of nail growth yet.

Photobucket

I used Tiger Blossom; a bright coral and Sleek White as the base colour, topped with Swarovski crystals! I did cherries nail art on my accent fingers 🙂 Cherries nail art was inspired by cutepolish from YouTube and Ying!

I love mixed sets like this! It isn’t too over the top with the designs but still fairly simple and yet with a punch of fun! 😀

JulieG Jesse’s Girls Collection: Swatches & Review

Hello guys!! Its been ages since I’ve done a collection swatches and review so I’m glad to do one for Jesse’s Girl! This is indeed a new brand to me and I ordered this collection online as soon as it was available on their website. There’s a big discount for buying the entire collection so I went with that. (USD$25) Shipping was quite fast, I received these in about a week or so.

If you’re unfamiliar with this collection, this was created by JulieG, a beauty guru on Youtube! She has created her own nail polish collection and I think its a pretty good one because there’s something for everyone! I’ve been watching her videos from the start, she’s very cheerful and informative and that’s what I look for when I watch beauty-related videos! You need to check her out if you haven’t! 🙂

This is her video introducing all her nail polishes if you are interested in knowing more!

All swatches are 2 coats with no top coat. I wished she did more shimmers though because they’re super gorgeous. This collection consists of 2 shimmers and 6 cremes.

Beauty Guru is a dark musky orange and it looks like a baked orange to me! (Not that I’ve eaten or seen one!) I like this one, the oranges I own are mostly brights or neon and its kinda interesting to see a musky one.

Fashion Friday is an gorgeous red-toned purple, very flattering! Its the colour of JulieG’s background when she makes videos when she’s sitting down and doing one of her makeup videos! I believe this is quite an exact match and I like it!

Photobucket

Photobucket

All Things Girly is a red-toned peach. This isn’t one of my top picks for this collection at all because it doesn’t look good against my skin and the formula was horrible! It was streaky and really thick! I guess I had to bring out my Seche Restore if I’m using it next time.

Stiletto is a light taupe with subtle silver shimmer. It kinda looks something in between purple and grey. A very office appropriate colour and a very unique one at that! I’ve never seen anything like this colour and I’m glad I own this one now!

Cupcake Frosting is a hot fuchsia, nothing very special actually so I’m gonna just keep this description short and sweet, haha!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Party Dress is a red-toned coral, very beautiful and flattering on my skintone. Love this!! I actually have this as my pedi right now and I love the great pop of colour.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Girls Night Out is a medium cobalt blue, very striking and much darker than pictured. Again, not a very unique polish but I’m surprised that this wasn’t an exact dupe of Barry M Cobalt Blue! I might do a comparison if you guys request :>

Mermaid’s Lagoon is a dark teal with subtle golden-red shimmer. Its more like a sprinkle of fairy dust of some sort in the polish, the shimmer is really pretty and dazzling! My camera kinda freaked out on this colour but I swear this colour is super gorgeous in real life! It is much more greener than pictured, not as turquoise as what the photo depicts.

As a whole, I had no issues with the formula except for All Things Girly. Their brushes are kinda unique, they’re thin, small and short so it kinda makes me go back to the bottle twice for each nail on average to have enough polish for my entire nail!

Well, so what’s your favourite from this collection? My favourites have to be Mermaid’s Lagoon, Fashion Friday and Stiletto! Any requests for comparison, please let me know 😉

Summer Stripes and Floral Nail Design

Hello everyone! I’m back to the nail art business!!!!!! 😀 I copied this design off Nail Up magazine from the July issue. I did my own variation so I hope you like it 🙂 A Summer design even though its almost over haha!

Photobucket

I used OPI Alpine Snow and Essie Lapis of Luxury as my bases! I used my nail art stripers for my pointy, middle and little finger and a dotting tool for the flowers. It was pretty simple to re-create this, I like the look of layering flowers on top of one another so I might do another variation for this :> Colours not mentioned can be found under the tags section as usual 😉 I added rhinestones to my middle finger as a little accent because the stripes were a little plain for me. (I always want a little sparkle in my life, lol)

I shall let you feast on the pictures instead!

Lefty 😀 Not very satisfied with the lines I made because it was kinda slanted.

I went to Kim’s place today to do my gel nails and she’s so friendly and pretty! Love her pink hair haha! I’ll post up pics of my gelish mani tomorrow 🙂
