Adventure Time!

Danya gave me a very good challenge!! She’s a big fan of Adventure Time cartoons and she wanted Beemo (robot/game console), Princess Bubblegum (a princess, lol), Finn (the human with long blonde hair hidden in his suit), Jake (Finn’s transformation dog) and Ice King (he’s evil!)

Since I’ve no idea what is the cartoon all about, I searched about them on Google! The plot is quite interesting, I think I might watch it soon! 😀

I referenced from Google pics and Chalkboard Nails take on them!

Okay I already forgotten what colours I used so here’s the list that I can remember… Btw some colours are mixed from acrylic paint 🙂

Beemo: OPI Mermaid’s Tears
Princess BubbleGum: Barry M Strawberry Ice-cream and OPI Indi-a Mood For Love
Finn: OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Ogre The Top Blue
Jake: China Glaze Papaya Punch
Ice King: OPI Alpine Snow, OPI What’s With The Cattitude

I’m pretty satisfied on how these turn out! Too cute for words! Especially Beemo and Ice King, alot of details!

Mabelline took a break from gelish and decided to do another funky design! This was from tumblr:

Base colours are OPI Alpine Snow and OPI Black Onyx and acrylic paint for the rest of the art! I did everything exactly the same as pictured except the thumbs since they’re weren’t in the picture! Suggested doing mini hearts and diamonds and its soooo cute!

Brush It On!

Rachel wanted my brush strokes nail design which I’ve adapted it before from Nail Max before her company trip! She wanted to do without the black french tips!

Photobucket

The problem with this design on normal polish is that it gets too thick for the accent nail… (2 coats for each colour!!) Had to blow for ages with my mini blower and I was pretty scared that it would smudge in the end!

I’m glad it turned out well 😀

Monotones and Neons

Can I call these colours neons?? (I’m sick of using the word brights) Not sure but anyway… love how monotones contrast against them!

Colours used: OPI Ogre The Top Blue, OPI Need Sunglasses?, OPI Hot & Spicy, China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, OPI I’m In-dia Mood For Love, OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Black Onyx!

Brushstrokes

Heehee, another nail art design from the Nail Venus 2012/Summer issue! I absolutely love abstract art… probably might recreate this design for my nails next time! Gotta love how brights pop on white bases!

Colours used: OPI Alpine Snow, OPI Black Onyx, OPI Hot & Spicy, OPI I’m An In-dia Mood For Love, OPI Need Sunglasses?, OPI Planks Alot!

This is my last second day of my school holidays 😦 will be super busy from next week onwards!

Pedi: Union Jack!

Charlene immediately wanted a union jack design when she saw it on my nail art wheel! She also requested for studs on alternate toes and here’s how they look!

My apologies for the blurry photo at one of the big toe area… I don’t know what’s wrong with my camera! 😡

I used Jesse’s Girl Mermaid’s Lagoon for the gorgeous teal shimmer!

Seeing Triangles

I’ve been wanting to do nail art on tips instead of my usual wheels for display! Churned out 8 sets in 2 days and I’m excited to show you guys! This nail art is inspired by Nail Venus, 2012/Summer issue!

Used OPI Alpine Snow and OPI Black Onyx for the base and then did the drawing in acrylic paint, with the exception of the pink triangle which is OPI Indi-a Mood For Love! I love to incorporate crystals and studs in doing nail art, I love how such small detail brings the entire manicure together!  I need to work more on intricate details….

P.S. Decided to post this early since I’m going to Johor Bahru later!
